Bikes, Birds, and Beaches
Riding my mountain bike through Fort Worden on a little-used trail, I found myself alone with a dignified Barred Owl. He graciously allowed my photography, and then his eyes slowly closed, revealing feathered eyelids during his quick nap. And here you see his dignity restored when his eyes popped open.
